Description: A determined human kid with the ability to alter time, sort of. Not so much anymore. Kindhearted but quiet, Frisk really just wants to get along with everyone, pet dogs, and maybe not have anyone else die in the castle, that'd be cool.
What You're Looking For: I'd like for Frisk to get the chance to show a little backbone - they're nice to a fault, honestly, and some negative CR to stir up their comfort zone might be refreshing. I'm not looking for escalation to violence or anything; I'd mostly like to acknowledge that Frisk's sugary-sweet schtick can only get them so far.
What You're Not: Nothing hugely upsetting? There have been a few game-changers for them recently and they're still processing, a little. Also no romantic things because of obvious reasons.
Plans: Frisk is re-acclimating after a rough period of being shadowed and then coming back, but the kid is resilient, so give me ur CR. Their shadow is going to show up for like the third dang time, and this time it's going to talk and be sort of a downer. Also, Frisk will very likely be utilizing their SAVE/LOAD system to keep from having to eat and deplete food supplies, while at the same time doing whatever else they can to stretch their stocks out.

Just a quick PSA/reminder that monster food is in the castle, and unlike regular food, doesn't spoil! Unfortunately for the humans, it doesn't provide too much in the way of physical nourishment on its own, but it can be used in tandem with human food to boost it and make it go a little further. Hope you guys like snails and glittery burgers made out of sequins.

What You're Looking For: More people he can talk to openly about... things. The Tower fucked him up even more than he already was, and he needs to have someone he can sit down with and go 'dude that sucks' with.

Plans: I'm planning on getting Ken involved with the Shadow plot. He didn't face his Shadow in Animus, and after running him through a horrible nightmare 'face your own heart' game thinking on it for a while I have some ideas that I think are pretty good. He uh. He won't want to admit it very easily even if he knows damn well that it's the only way to avoid a fight... so if you're looking for a fight, hit me up.

... Also the food problems are likely to have him say "I TOLD YOU SO" and start hoarding food again though give it out where he can, so. Uh. Yeah.

Canon: Undertale
Description:

Papyrus is a good skeleton. ♥ Haha! For real, though, Papyrus is your resident loud, tall, overly energized skeleton. The brother of Sans! He's got a good heart, and has a knack for misunderstanding negative vibes (like...if you're scared of him, he might think that you're just in supreme awe of his greatness!! WHICH WHY WOULDN'T YOU BE). He doesn't let on that he has serious problems, ever, which in his defense is relatively rare. While he's not always on the same page as others, he's incredibly perceptive and can pick up on small things that may have otherwise gone unnoticed. Papyrus is also a magical skeleton, meaning that he can use magic! His magic comes in a few different forms: defensive, which is usually long distance or using bones as a shield of sorts, offensive, which is hand to hand with a long bone, used as a sword, and healing, which could probably heal something like a deep cut or soothe the pain of a broken body part, but not much else.

He also has a habit of referring to people (or other beings) by a generalized word. "HUMAN!", or "GREETINGS, FRIEND!!" are some of his more popularized ones. I'm always open to nicknames for others! Typically it takes some time for Papyrus to start using your name, unless your character is extremely firm about it, and even then it's kind of a hit and miss....h-haha.

What You're Looking For:

Looking for discovery!! And adventure! Paps is definitely the type leap before looking (though he does it somewhat carefully!) so having adventure friends is awesome! Papyrus can also be a great comforter and emotional pillow, so if your character needs expert enthusiasm and long, warm hugs, Papyrus would be happy to deliver this unto you. We could also plan something accordingly with Papyrus' good perception, if it suits you!

I'm super easy with all points of interaction, but I ask that if you want to do something darker that you just talk to me about it first. While I'm still relatively new here, and Papyrus has had a somewhat tragic history here (three statues......sob) I'm just looking for some light-hearted CR or some meaningful CR, but nothing terribly dark outside of this event, huhuhuhuhu.....

What You're Not:

Er!! H-haha. Kind of listed above, but I'm not really looking for anything dark to happen to Papyrus outside of the event unfolding in August! This doesn't mean I don't want to be involved in the dark plots, but I don't want them to focus on Papyrus at this particular juncture. Well, to be honest, I'd like to get Papyrus better known around the castle!! So I'll probably have a mingle log for him at some point. Life is a little messy right now for me because we're looking for a house and I'm trying to pass my massage certification exam and when I'm not working or sorting through houses and finances I'm sleeping on a couch watching Cry play Okami. Which is fucking beautiful. A+. When I'm not asleep. h-haha...

Anyway! I'd like to get Pap some more CR! Also, back in June, he and Undyne spoke briefly about a Volunteer Royal Guard! I'm not sure what kind of system Sol Raveh has right now, but Papyrus would want to be in on it, certainly.

Anyway, anyway, in August, you'll probably find Papyrus trying his hand at Gardening (if Ozuma can't tend the flowers well enough), patrolling for shadows and DEFEATING THEM WITH RIGHTEOUSNESS, and spending time with his favorite assortment of humans and monsters and family.

Description: Once a smol, now a tol. I mean, um, Yukio is an exorcist who makes it his goal to protect humans from evil demons, which is kind of ironic now that he's also half-demon.
What You're Looking For: I would probably like some strained CR! I mean, Yukio went through some shit, but the things he did, if anyone finds out about them, were not exactly acceptable. I'd like to see people uncomfortable with him now, and then have him gradually win them over because... he does actually feel bad about all of that now.
Also good would be someone to help him out with his myriad of issues. Particularly the self-esteem, all the secrets he hid from his brother, all of that stuff would be particularly fun.
Also now that he's older, I'd like to see him as a mentor character for some of the other kids.
What You're Not: I can't think of anything in particular? Talk to me if you have a serious plan.
Plans: Yukio has just gotten back (Post is here if you want to hit that up!) so he's dealing with the whole... being gone for eight years/only a week as best he can. I really hope he'll get to meet up with all his CR sooner rather than later because I have a bad feeling what he got up to is going to cause some tension and I'd like to work through that!
His Shadow will definitely be around, just to pick at all the little issues he's been trying to ignore. It'll probably take on a form more similar to Possessed!Yukio so that'll be fun.

Plans: Rita's shadow is going to be an interesting one - an extreme reflection of Rita's anger management issues and superiority complex. So people wanting to encounter that, lemme know!

Canon: Tales of Graces
Description: Hubert's girlfriend is a major genius... With a knack for circumlocution that makes her sound a lot ditzier than she actually is, magnified greatly by her oft-irrepressable chipper attitude.
What You're Looking For: More Huscal is going to be a big focus at first. The Shadow event will also be interesting, due to some of her issues... Other than that, I'm fairly open and would love to have her interact with some of the younger kids, actually.
Plans: Pascal's Shadow is constantly dour, reflecting Pascal's awareness of her difficulties communicating with people, and lashing out angrily at people who try to show her sympathy for it.

Character Name: Gynoid Support Unit 24 (AKA "Essei")
Canon: OC
Description: This elf seems to view herself as a robotic servant of (at the moment) Zuko. She's a capable healer but also endeavours to help people in general be happier.
What You're Looking For: Some sympathy at Essei's plight would be nice to bring up again this month. People being aware that what she is is kind of wrong, and all.
Plans: Did you know healers can cast create food and water? The results are bland and simple, but as things get worse, Essei will resort to this.

But then there's Essei's shadow... Or, rather, her "true" self. S24's shadow will actually reflect what she'd be without the horrific brainwashing... Namely, Cevilia Matera, an extremely angry fallen Paladin who will actively insult and rage at anyone who dares be at all nice to or accepting of 'the freak who stole my body'. She's going to have a nasty angle in mind: She's hoping to cause Essei's programmed personality to break down so the actual Cevilia can come back. To put it lightly, this would be bad for everyone, so figuring out how to stop it could be a challenge... Especially when Essei is compelled by her programming to reject Cevilia at all costs.

Description: A Hylian warrior in his mid twenties who suffers quite a bit from feelings of guilt. He is noticeably thin and malnourished after four years of imprisonment followed by months spent being psychologically tortured at the Box.
What You're Looking For: ANYTHING, I AM NEW! Friends, enemies, people to save and fail to save... Complex CR is my jam.
What You're Not: No, man, I am open for anything.
Plans: This won't be the first time Link has had to deal with a "Dark Link". He got a visit from one in the Box. He might be quick to deal with it since his burdening feelings of guilt make him more capable of admitting his faults. But he also extremely stubborn in the face of anything he decides is evil. The Dark Link will tend to orbit him but when caught alone will taunt people. It can be easily moved to violence.
Link himself will rush to battle the moment he suspects it's necessary so if a fight breaks out he will be on the front lines.

She is a young woman who has seen a lot of time in battle thanks to the threat of the Elder Dragons, and is only just beginning to reconcile the things she had to see and deal with in the Heart of Maguuma - the thick jungle expanse that happened to be the lair of the Elder Dragon Mordremoth. She has also gained the Druid ability, switching her axe and warhorn for a staff and a slew of healing abilities she didn't have previously.

Description: Teeny tiny 16 year old former-SWAT weapon/child soldier and Storm Rider, now a pirate(-in-training?) who is missing his literal other half Agito, and finding it infinitely unsettling to have his body all to himself. Also lonely.

He is very smart, nerdy, proud to be one Portgas D. Ace's baby brother, ttly in dokidoki with Hiro Hamada, a good cook, an amateur swordsman, a blacksmith, and also a shapeshifter and can turn into fire like his super awesome big brother!

Also is accompanied by a gallon or so of tiny silver scale-like robots that are autonomous with the sentience level of a cat. Only a bracelet worth are linked to him a la Big Hero 6 Microbots but the rest are his buds and listen to him. C:

What You're Looking For: They have a lot of CR they're have good rapport with, right now; so some negative CR wouldn't go awry! Particularly now that they have their foundations back, the kid isn't likely to lob themselves over the bridge at the first hint of being overwhelmed, haha. I'd love for someone to actually get one over them, for once.

What You're Not: Well their sort of crush buddy GREW UP so I guess no romance, for shame.

-I have an open post of Chara's memories, with a couple of public ones to peruse through and a few prompts for anyone just looking for general interaction! I have another memory that's going to bleed onto the network...probably today or tomorrow, as well. Chara's trying to keep their head down for the rest of this month, but as per usual, life isn't kind enough to do that.

They are in a much better headspace than they've been for the last two months, however, so if you're looking to touch on some positive CR, now is probably the time to get it before August hits and everyone dies.

Hahahaha, oh boy.

Chara will likely be joining the big kids over a nice big round of 'the leaders need to discuss what the fuck to do re: Ozuma out of commission'. I think it'll be a good time for anyone who wants to see them Being A Leader That Accounts For Everyone Whether They Care About Them Or Not, considering it's practically the one positive point of development this kid has managed so far in game. They'll be joining Frisk in SAVEscumming to help retain food...and so they can give some of their portions to Asriel.

Chara's shadow will be interesting. I intend to have them wandering about by themself, as well as with Frisk's shadow, and contrary to how Chara acts, they will be very. interested. in ensuring people stick around them long enough to hear what they have to say. Pay attention to them. Let them burn all their own bridges. For the most part, they're likely to stick with the things Chara actually knows will hurt other people; much like their real self would do. So if you want them to be an asshole to you, well. You're in so much luck. c:

What You're Looking For: FRIENDS. Always friends. Steven will make friends and look for stuff to like about 99% of anyone. CR with other younger people is always good, or people with a half-human, half-not life situation like he kind of has going on. Honestly I'm open to pretty much anything.

Description: Dragon pretends to be human and fails terribly.
What You're Looking For: I just need to get the grump dragon out more. People to VOLGA NO would be hilariously great.

Plans: Volga will be... very dumb instead of actually confronting his shadow or whatnot. There's a shortage of food, right??? He's... gunna try to take an actual bite out of his shadow... I am not sorry...
Other than that, he'll be crunching on obviously inedible things like rocks this month. /thumbs up.

Description: 18 year old dragon warrior. meeting his eyes can cause fear hallucinations that a dragon is eating your body parts. The dragon is him-
What You're Looking For: Need to get him more friends / adopted family other than his adopted family.
What You're Not: No romo for this child-
Plans: Shin-ah will quietly pass a good amount of his food off to anyone younger than him, so have fun with that.
As for his shadow, the only ~true self~ things I can think of re: Shin-ah are things Ao might have said - he's cursed, he's Seiryuu so he can't have friends. Or actual Seiryuu, which is cruel-cold god looking down on humans and picking body parts to give nerve death in.

Description: Giant Grandpa* is literally Too Old for this. (*not actually a grandpa, he's just 96.)
What You're Looking For: He's a giant grandpa, let him be so done at things.
What You're Not: He was dying of old age repeatedly, don't romo him why would you do that.
Plans: Another case of boring shadow - meet it without him for something interesting, basically.
He's gunna go help Ammy with the garden, otherwise he's just.. going to be taking it as easy as giant old man can.

Description: Large lamia-like seaserpent pretends to be a not!elf. Is quietly paranoid, and dislikes humans.

What You're Not: No romo? Less people for him to be forevery grudge holding would be good, he already has a lot of dislike for his cast...
Plans: Duke will, also, be very rarely frequenting the kitchen, for Pokechow only.

Character Name: Sans the skeleton
Canon: PUNDERTALE
Description: Sans is an infamously lazy skeleton of simple needs: he likes to crack bad jokes, pull friendly, harmless pranks on people, and generally gets along with almost everyone he meets. If there's more to this guy than there appears to be, he isn't inclined to talk about it. Been here a while, which explains why he always seems to know someone who might help you answer that question or get that thing done, so long as you aren't asking him to work.
What You're Looking For: Sans is the kind of guy who knew literally everyone in the Underground and yet no one really knew too much about him. I'm looking to make friends, or at least friendly acquaintances. People he can learn about and (mutually) invest in their lives or just monkey around. CR that digs into who he is as a person would be neat, too, but I won't lie: it is extremely difficult to get Sans to open up about anything. He has a habit of avoiding responsibility and problems, unless it has to do with looking out for his brother, Papyrus (and certain kids).
What You're Not: This guy's been through a lot in the last 7+ months and he's Seen Some Shit(TM) and doesn't have too many spoons left over to spare if a stranger wants to dump his/her problems on him. Sans will probably not antagonize or fight with your character; I love conflict but he is not here to give your character a Bad Time(TM). I'm open like 7-eleven for CR of all stripes but the BONEZONE is closed.

Ozuma is down for the count. Guess who decided to greet our newbies? Yeah, our resident comedian. My condolences to the new recruits.

Food situation: Monster food doesn't spoil so it's being offered to pad our meager supplies this month. Sans will be giving some of his rations to his totally awesome super cool brother, or some really determined kids, or a severely underweight nerd in a red mask. Because hey, they can use it more. He'll just sleep a lot. Which... He does anyway.

Attacks on the Safe Zone: Since Sans will be running low on energy (and for him that's really saying something) he will likely try to let the heavy hitters do all the fighting. If said heavy hitters end up too exhausted and running on empty by the time the 'big fight' rolls around, there's the possibility he might have no choice but to Do Something. (Hint: I really hope so, that would be Really Freakin' Cool but I'm not counting on it.)

Shadow Sans: ...will be every ugly, awful part of this smiley trashbag and then some. He will not physically antagonize anyone, but he will be scathing, manipulative, and controlling (as in, he will do things to remove your character's agency/ability to act if he feels it will benefit him/is in your character's best interest, such as lying about where an enemy attack is to prevent you getting hurt even if this causes YOUR friends to be hurt, etc.) He will be sabotaging the generator, causing a disruption in our electricity supply, preventing phones from charging and possibly taking down the network to ensure his own continued usefulness. While I can't promise I can satisfy every request, he will be verbally antagonizing important CR and can of course also be witnessed interacting with Sans.

Sans cannot acknowledge his Shadow as part of him, he is going to have a really bad time, but sharing is caring, so some of you are going to too. :D

I anticipate that interactions with Shadow Sans or Sans's interactions with others' Shadows may have lasting negative impact on CR, so if you don't want that, don't sign up!

Description: Rin is 17, and a fairly talented and versatile mage who's driven to succeed and has dedicated her life to her craft. Because she really enjoys it too, all things magical are guaranteed to ping her. She's famous for being a tsundere (check the TV tropes page, she's the example they use even) and has a pretty wicked mischievous streak, though that might be less likely to show itself for this event. She'll likely be more in her professional take-action magus mode for this one.

What You're Looking For: Oh gosh, with this event I'm honestly not sure. Normally this is the part where I say any kind of deeper CR, but between this event and the last that's probably going to be limited to very few people. So working together schemes? People can really come together in a crisis, so that's likely going to be a highlight! Plot is my lifeblood, so the early event difficulties with the food shortage and other castle issues is going to be my honey.
What You're Not: Nothing I can think of, just keep in mind OOC doesn't equal IC, because I can guarantee there's plenty of things Rin ain't looking for. Disturb at your own risk.

— Rin has a couple of memory posts still up, as well as this post here for just general interaction! I'd love for it to gain a little more traction!

— Rin's going's to be all over the start of this event, and I'd love to plot things with the other characters who will be getting in on that.
      — Clearing out Shadows from the safe areas will be one of her highest concerns. Posting scouts to certain areas would probably be a good. If there's interest, she can probably try to make an organized effort out of it.
      — She's completely technology inept, so she's not going to be much help getting the power back on or solve the generator crisis, but she can offer Magecraft to create light, and so on. Particularly, she may be able to offer a short-term communications solution for a small group of people (no more than 5-8 characters) until someone more capable can fix the phone/network situation properly, but that is something I need to discuss with a modly type person first so don't hold me to that just yet.
      — She's pretty great with food, so she can help with the rationing! That is if the characters who are already going to be on that would like the help. She's also surprisingly knowledgable with medicine and the function of the human body, so she can give pointers on nutrition and even make vitamin supplements if needed.
      — Hygiene is probably another thing everyone should consider...
— And then of course we have Rin's Shadow Self... Haha.

      2. The first time Rin sees it, she's going to immediately try to kill it. So yeah, going to enjoy it going one-winged-angel on her ass, more plotting to come when we get extended details there and so on. But gauging interest.
— For an added twist before all of that though, honestly if I were to play the "true self" card straight, Rin's Shadow would be a bit different from the others? Oh it'll air out all of her dirty secrets just like the rest of them, but here's a fun fact about Rin: deep down she's kinder, not crueler, and it's a big part of her character that she doesn't acknowledge that (nor is fully aware of it). I'm still working out how I want to apply a threatening edge that should be here, but tbh I am kind of liking the idea of Rin's Shadow being surprisingly nice. Very likely it'd try to say things to her CR they wouldn't want to hear, like what Rin really thinks about them, but it would all ironically come from a good place. And even if it was revealing something horrible, it would sound downright soft and friendly, almost like it means to help. I almost want to play with an idea of it being questionable if it's only on the Queen's side by virtue of being created to be, but it's almost 3 AM as I'm typing this and I might be thinking into it way too far there, pffft.

Other: I have a permissions post for her, if you could kindly take a look at it! Rin can detect magic and other magic users, to an extent, so if that applies to your character it would help me out.

What You're Looking For: I'm open for about anything, but particularly in the mood for CR developing past Allies and into Friends. People who can get her to lighten up. But also: people who will make her temper flare.
What You're Not: Romance.
Plans: Zuko's shadow will only be making a brief appearance since it can't really be more critical of her than she is of herself. If you want your character to see it, lemme know, but otherwise I probably won't put much focus on it.

She will be getting involved in dealing with the food crisis- rationing, looking for alternative sources, etc. She's also a great person to hang out with if you're afraid of the dark or something; she can boost the torches with her firebending.

ALSO! August 23rd is Kizuna's 1st birthday, Zuko will absolutely be throwing her dragon daughter a party of some kind.
Other: I should be okay for August, but will probably be a little scarce this week since I'm moving on Wednesday.

Description: The heroine the pizzeria deserved. Okay, to be more specific: she's seen some awful shit and, while she has tried to just keep going, she's honestly been more affected by it than she lets on. Also, she thought Stanley was a good name for a unicorn toy when she was a kid.
What You're Looking For: Charlie needs friends who know or learn about the shit she's been through and won't let her try and stay walled off. She has spent a lot of her time alone and has lost a lot of people. To some degree I think she's afraid of going through that again, which leads her to try and keep herself walled off.

Basically, I want somebody to prove her wrong, or to prove that it's still worth it.

Alternately, please take her under your wing and train her to fight, because she needs to work on that.
What You're Not: Romantic CR, because Charlie would not be a good romantic partner right now.
Plans: Shadow Charlie is going to be a nuisance. She will spill all of Charlie's secrets, especially the ones she really didn't want to tell anyone. She will casually mention awful things. She will mouth off at people and speak her mind 24/7. ...So, uh, basically this would be an easy, quick way to start that CR, if you want that.

Description: Anime Hermione, child soldier coming to terms with the world now after the death of her literal god, she constantly needs a break but won't do it dammit.
What You're Looking For: This girl has trust issues, so slow-burning CR is just right for me. Be warned that even if she likes someone, she'll still hit them with a book if they're being dumb.
What You're Not: ...Like I said. Trust issues. And very distrustful of the concept of romance, so none of that at the moment please.
Plans: Her shadow is made up of issues and problems that she's already aware of and accepted; "you're weaker than all your friends" "people are going to abandon you" "you're overly reliant on MEN you little SKANK" (I am not exaggerating when I say that was a line spoken in canon by mind demons to Maka, thanks Ohkubo). She'd just ignore the thing with "I already knew that" and "be quiet, stop being vulgar, there are kids here."

When it's not yelling at Maka it'll cry. Cry a lot. Maka's just going to move on and use her SOUL to brighten the dark places a bit trying to drive out the shadows from the safe zones. This fuggin thing is BRIGHT and goes out all around her like an aura, so yeah that's pretty...annoying.

Canon: Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
Description: Destined hero of Lorule that failed in that aspect, forced to survive in the utter misery of his dark world. Being in The Box for a time, a literal torture dimension, didn't help his negative attitude and actually reversed some of the development he had in canon proper.

What You're Not: For god's sake Ravio go kiss Hilda already we know it's coming
Plans: He's not getting a shadow because honestly he shittalks/jokes about what total garbage he is constantly anyway so we don't need an echo chamber.

It's dark and the ChuChus are still spawning. Luckily their eyes glow so Ravio will just be minding his own business steadily farming the things by throwing fire magic at them. Gotta make those potions somehow.
